As we stand at the cusp of a new year, it's only fitting to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey that was 2023 at St Ives Brewery. A year marked by creativity, community, and countless memorable moments, 2023 has left an indelible mark on our brewery's story. It was our first full calendar year in our brewery home, so there's been plenty of learning along the way too.

Crafting Excellence:
Head brewer Callum has embarked on a quest for brewing excellence this year. From experimenting with unique flavour profiles to perfecting our flagship classics, his and his team's dedication to craft beer shone through in every sip. As we bid farewell to 2023, we look back with fondness at the learning curve that has been negotiated by the whole production team. New kit, new volumes of beer. new recipes and general all-round excellence.

Community Connection:
At St Ives Brewery, community isn't just a buzzword; it's the heartbeat of our existence. This year, we were privileged to share countless moments with our extended family – you. Whether it was at our taproom events, external events, or through the lens of social media, your passion for our craft beer and genuine camaraderie have fuelled our spirits. The St Ives Brewery community is a tapestry of diverse stories, and we're grateful for each and every thread.

Memorable Moments:
Here's a quick list of some of our favourite moments and events....
Beer releases
Las Brisas/La Pina: a coffee collaboration with Yallah Coffee to create an Espresso West Coast IPA
Destination DIPA: our biggest, baddest beer full stop. A huge DIPA with a massive fruit punch.
Mean As: second time around she was re-dressed and perfected. Another modern classic hazy IPA.
Summer: a lovely, lower abv summer session ale.
Barnoon: a blackberry (picked by you lovely lot) infused Belgian Dubbel style beer.
Roast Potato & Rosemary Wheat: when the weather turned to autumn and winter we ramped up the roast dinner accompaniment. A collaboration with Colwith Farm Potatoes and Farm Shop.
Pud: our festive favourite pudding in a can. Sticky Toffee pudding stout.

Events
St Ives Food and Drink Festival: we lucked out with sunshine and good vibes on Porthminster beach. What a place to meet the fine folk who attended this awesome community event.
Royal Cornwall Show: 3-days of full on Cornish heritage. The Royal Cornwall Show is the biggest social event on the local calendar and it was a pleasure to be there serving up pints.
Smooth Movers: in September we sponsored the Smooth Mover surf event at Godrevy. We also hosted the music, art and culture at the taproom. It was epic.
Bang Bang Club and Algorythm amongst others: we hosted various music nights in the brewery n 2023. We are now unable to imagine that parties should be hosted anywhere other than a brewery.
A wedding: Mr and Mrs St Ives Brewery tied the knot and celebrate the special day with a reception in the brewery. What a place for it - and major congrats to the pair of them
