In the last few days there has been a definite turn in the weather, hints of warmer times to come and we are ready for it! It's that time of year when we can enjoy some warmer and brighter days before the hectic summer months kick in, with that in mind we thought we would share some of our favourite beaches in West Cornwall.

The coastline here in Cornwall boasts some real beauty. With many coastal path walks along cliffs and serene waters of West Cornwall there is nothing better than an ice cold beer at the end of your walk/adventure.

Porthmeor Beach:

Nestled beneath the iconic Tate St Ives Art Gallery, Porthmeor Beach offers a picturesque setting for enjoying a beer as the sun sets. With its golden sands and the Atlantic waves crashing against the shore, this beach is a picture-perfect place. Find your spot on the sand, crack a beer, and let the colours of sky and sea soak in. Get in touch with St Ives Surf School who offer a variety of beach activities from surf lessons, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and more!

Porthgwidden Beach:

For a more secluded St Ives experience, head to Porthgwidden Beach, a hidden gem tucked away between rocky outcrops. Spread out a blanket, pop open a can of our crisp Pilsner, and bask in the tranquillity as the sun sinks below the horizon. There's a great Cafe/Restaurant on the beach too.

Gwithian Towans:

Venture across St Ives Bay, and you'll discover Gwithian Towans, a sprawling stretch of sand and sea from Hayle to Godrevy lighthouse. This expansive beach provides ample space to unwind and soak up the beauty of the sunset. Settle down with a bottle of beer, and watch as surfers enjoy a few waves and look back at St Ives from a different perspective. If you fancy working up a thirst, there are plenty of places to get a surf lesson or hire a board locally.

Sennen Cove:

At the westernmost edge of Cornwall lies Sennen Cove Beach, a large sandy beach, good for both chilling out or catching waves. Whilst it is a little drive away, this idyllic spot offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the rugged cliffs of Land's End. Crack open a cold one from St. Ives Brewery, find a spot on the sand or on the nearby cliffs, and toast to another day in paradise as the sun dips below the waves.

Porthcurno:

This is one of those beaches that always makes an appearance on social media. The perfect white sand next to crystal quality turquoise waters. It looks like paradise and is one we love to visit, making sure we have a picnic and a cold beer or two with us. Porthcurno is also home to The Minack Theatre, which is the most incredible place to take in a show.

Here in Cornwall our breathtaking beaches and stunning sunsets create the perfect backdrop for enjoying a beer. Whether you prefer a lively atmosphere and a day of activities like surfing, or prefer a quieter and more chilled out experience, West Cornwall leaves you spoilt for choice, much like our selection of beers to enjoy with sand between your toes.
