Beyond the Beer: craft beer branding
There’s something special about that moment when the beer leaves the brewery. After spending weeks brewing, fermenting, and conditioning, it’s finally ready to go out into the wild, be poured, shared, and remembered. But before that first sip ever hits your lips, there’s another element of brewing and craftsmanship that comes into play: branding and design.

We live by the mantra of 'the art of brewing', which runs through both the process of brewing and that of can and label design. We believe great beer deserves great design. The can or bottle isn’t just a thing that holds beer, it is that first impression, the firm handshake and that lingering story of great Cornish craft beer.
When we package a beer, we’re not just sealing in freshness. We’re capturing an idea. The artwork, the typography, the colour palette all works together to express, or hint at what’s inside. Whether that's a modern, heavy hop, hay IPA, a crisp pilsner or a lively fruited sour, each beer has character that needs to become a visual identity too.

We’ve all had that moment when you try a new beer and instantly know it’s something special. The first sip hits, and it just clicks. That’s how we want the design of the can or label to feel, it needs to hook you and make you feel happy and excited to sample the beer from Cornwall that's inside.
In a world full of choice, the best beers stand out not just because they taste amazing, but because they look and feel like something you want to try. Plus, when we get the design just right, we stand out on the shelves of supermarkets, calling you to try us.
Next time you've got a can in hand, take the time to appreciate the design and story being told by the artwork.
