Cornwall is blessed with miles of coastline, incredible beaches, countryside trails and more, it's a place we love to explore even though we are fortunate enough to live here. We try to share our favourite places to visit in Cornwall, sharing some insider knowledge and ideas.

Here's two places we love, both as places to stay and as places to enjoy a beer and some good food. These are places that are part of our sister company but are stunning places regardless.

The Sloop Inn, St Ives
Perched on the harbourside in the heart of St Ives, The Sloop Inn has origins dating back to 1312, which is why the amber ale we first brewed for them was named 1312.

It's a pub that's steeped in history and instantly recognisable, originally serving the fishermen and dock-side workers, but later being the place to be seen as a St Ives artist.

Inside you'll find that real traditional pub vibe, with low ceilings, exposed beams and that classic Cornish weathered charm that embodies a coastal history. They serve plenty of great beers, including Slipway IPA and also serve up some superb food. It's a place to sit outside in the summer and watch the world go by, pint in hand, and in the winter it's a cosy escape from the wild Atlantic wind and rain.

The Sloop Inn is a must-see, must-visit spot here in St Ives, part of the quintessential St Ives holiday or day out. Stop by after a day on the beach or drop in to fuel up before heading out on the coast path.

As you'd expect from a Cornish in, there are rooms that can be stayed in, so it's also the perfect base for a long weekend or holiday in St Ives.

The Falcon Hotel, Bude
At the opposite end of the county, you'll find the town of Bude, it's amazing beaches and The Falcon Hotel, North Cornwall's oldest coach house hotel.

Established in 1798 and spending most of its existence being managed, owned and run by the same family (apart from a few years here and there) and has been the start of many visitors amazing Cornish holidays.

The impressive hotel stands on the side of the Bude Canal, with great views alongside its immaculate walled gardens. The location is perfect, being just a hop, skip and a jump from the many outstanding beaches in the town. It's a perfect base for exploring North Cornwall and seeing some of the county's most rugged coastline.

If you are in the area and aren't looking for lovely, traditional hotel accommodation then you can visit for great food and great beer, with a few of our beers always available.

Bude itself is great for beach loving families, surfers and coast path adventurers, with an endless amount of walks and beaches and surf spots to discover.

Enjoy.
