The World Pilot Gig Championships

From Thursday 30th April to Monday 4th of May we were on St Mary's, in the Isles of Scilly for the World Pilot Gig Championships. The event is a celebration of the gig rowing community, and we could not be prouder to have been able to play a part in this gem in the gig rowing crown.

The event welcomes over 130 crews, from the UK and further afield, to race across a variety of racing categories. From the main open races, through to super vets and everything in between. Those races bringing together that competitive spirit of the crews and also result in some champions standing on podiums.

Across the weekend we were blessed with incredible weather, with a few decent moments of sunshine too.

Combining Cornish craft beer with gig rowing was epic, meeting the fine folk of the gig rowing community was even better.
