St Ives Brewery has bucked the trend on the hospitality sector, finding investment and building a new state of the art brewery and eatery against the backdrop of uncertainty that has been ever present in the last few years. They have secured significant investment to build a brewery for the future, one that will allow them to really lead the way in the art of brewing and create a capacity of 40,000 litres of beer a week.

Marco Amura, Managing Director says. ‘We have always been ambitious and single minded in perfecting the art of brewing. We believe that the market for high quality craft beer is still growing, and we want to grow with it. We want to provide a home for beer enthusiast locally and help to share Cornwall with a wider audience’.

St Ives Brewery started over a decade ago and is no stranger to big projects. Their original home in St Ives was shaped from an old toilet block, but they have continued to thrive and grow. They have rebranded and launched a new website in the last couple of years, providing a modern online home for their ever-popular beers.

Now, with new investment they are into the final stages of completing a state-of-the-art brewery with bottling and canning facilities. The brewery is a four vessel brewhouse with integrated fermentation tank farm.

They have recruited a new specialist team, hiring a new Head Brewer and Brewing Assistant to take the helm of the new brewing kit.

This won’t just be a process that goes on behind closed doors though. St Ives Brewery’s new home on Marsh Lane industrial estate in Hayle will also include a taproom where locals and visitors alike can enjoy a beer in the brewery and sample pop up street food vendors on Fridays and Saturdays.

The launch night for the new brewery is on Saturday 1st October from 5pm. There will be an opportunity to sample beers and enjoy free pizza from Dough Selecta. Follow them on Instagram or Facebook for more details.
