It feels like spring is just around the corner, with the first (and very welcome) signs of sunshine and warmth finally starting to show. The town is starting to get up to speed, ready for the main holiday season and an influx of happy visitors. We are starting to turn our thoughts to spring and summer too, making sure we have plenty of beers ready to keep our trade customers and their patrons happy.

We are also thinking about a few al fresco beers of our own, dreaming of the perfect pint in a beer garden, or drinking in a Cornish sea view.

These are the places we can't wait to pop in for a pint.

The Balcony, The Hub or The Sloop

In St Ives you are somewhat spoilt for choice for pints with views.

We love a pint outside The Sloop. It's a quintessential St Ives beer, with views straight into the harbour and a real holiday atmosphere when the sun shines. They have a great line up of beers, including Slipway, Meor and 1312 from us. It's top of the list for an outside beer, or a sundowner.

If you prefer the view but not being outside there are also a couple of other options. The Balcony offers amazing views, great views and a lovely ambience. Views across the harbour and beyond to Godrevy in the distance. It's a favourite spot to refresh with a pint of Slipway and enjoy some great food too. Alternatively you can slip into The Hub for top notch burgers and a pint. There's indoor seating with views, outdoor areas and all warm hospitality you could wish for.

The Tinners Arms, Zennor
Zennor, the name of our own favourite Oatmeal Stout, is a small hamlet a 15-20 minute drive from St Ives. Head West along the coast road for glimpses of the Atlantic ocean, then peel off into this mysterious place.

The Tinners is a proper countryside pub, one that is cosy and warm in winter, but boasts a lovely beer garden for the summer. They serve up really good pub grub, as well as a wide selection of great beers from us. This is a place you need to visit. Our advice is a stroll out to the coast path to take in some views, then wander back to the pub for food and liquid refreshment.

Cove Cafe, Hayle
Around the corner form our brewery home in Hayle is Cove Cafe. Situated at the Hayle end of St Ives bay, it is nestled into a cliff with some of the finest views across the bay to St Ives you could ever imagine. The team there know a thing or two about great food too, offering an amazing menu, one off evenings and a few of our beers on tap.

This one is what you might term a 'hidden gem', with a combination of superb location and solid food. If you are in the area it's a place you should check out, perfect at the start or end of a walk along the bay, or post surf energy replenishment.

The Red River Inn, Gwithian
Gwithian is a stunning beach but is also a small village located a short walk or drive from the beach itself. In the village you'll find The Red River Inn.

She's another proper seaside pub, with amazing food, a warm welcome and delicious cold beer. They run a number of events through the year, including a beer festival, and boast a lovely beer garden opposite the pub itself.

You can expect to find a few of our beers on tap, so we recommend swinging by on your way back from the beach.

The Old Coastguard, Mousehole
One of our favourite villages to visit when we aren't brewing beer. Mousehole is a picture perfect Cornish postcard. The town is famed for its harbour and stories of the Mousehole cat and stargazey pie. You'll also find The Old Coastguard in Mousehole, a beautiful hotel, bar and restaurant with an amazing beer garden.

Soak in the sea and sun, with views out towards St Michael's Mount and across Mounts Bay. There's a solid line up of our beers, alongside some of the best food in Cornwall.

If you've not been, add it to your list.

The Shipwrights Arms, Helford
Nestled on the shores of the River Helford, The Shipwright's Arms is a proper gem of a pub and location.

It's a place to enjoy great food and calm views of the river from the sea wall benches outside the pub.

Exceptional food and views, accompanied by great beer, makes this one a must visit pub if you are in the area.
