Are you our new Head Brewer?
Our Cornish brewery has grown significantly in the last couple of years, but our ambitious plans for growth remain firmly in place. Since taking on the new brewery HQ in 2022 we have added listings with Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Beer 52 and many other great retailers, with many hundreds of on-trade customers too. It's an amazing time to be joining us, with a growing brand and state of the art SSV 30HL 4 Vessel Brewhouse.
We are on the hunt for a new Head Brewer to pick up the baton and help to move us forward with our continued passion for great craft beer. The person taking the wheel will have control of our brewing processes, keeping production ship shape, bringing a blend of experience and innovation to keep us moving forward. Our new head brewer will need to manage all brew house operations, from ordering of materials, production schedules and stock forecasting, to managing efficiencies, costs and beer quality. We want someone who can lead the development of new beers and innovative approaches to modern craft beer.
Our team is central to everything we do here at St Ives Brewery, so we want someone who can blend into the team and manage and lead production.
Here's the downlow on what we are after:
At least three years brewing experience in a commercial brewery, ideally with some of this in a senior role
A relevant qualification in brewing is preferable
Experience with craft beers is desirable
Ability to work both independently and with the management and brew team
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed
